Watch the video below:

Colorado State Representative Alex Valdez: Being an educator is about learning, and this is an amazing place to do exactly that — to learn more about a topic that I think we’ll be talking about for a long time.

Iowa State Senator Annettee Sweeney: This is my very first time attending a USHA event, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the collaboration, the conversations, and the opportunities to interact directly with presenters. It’s provided an incredible amount of valuable information.

Oklahoma State Senator Mary Boren: What I really like about this conference is the sincerity and sense of academic integrity throughout. The value statements shared at the very beginning made it clear that this was a different kind of event — one focused on what we’re truly committed to doing.

Collaboration among people is one of the most powerful ways to solve big problems. Anytime we can convene with others who are genuinely dedicated to finding solutions, it’s both refreshing and rewarding.

Carolina Ahlstrand, Business Development Director, Hycamite: One of USHA’s key messages has always been about partnership and collaboration. What we achieve through USHA is the ability to bring companies like ours together with others who share the same goals — and to move forward collectively.

Iowa State Senator Dan Zumbach: If I want to make good policy, I need to go to people who understand what I’m trying to legislate. That’s why I came here — to meet with experts who have real experience in this field. This is an area I’m still learning about, and I wanted to gather the information I need to take back home and share with my colleagues.

Alaska State Representative Ky Holland: Two things I’ve appreciated most are the strong focus on legislative roles and the insight into the political realities we face. The panels have been incredibly effective at teasing out those nuances.

I’ve also valued the industry connections I’ve made here — there are people I met who I know will be helpful in moving projects forward in Alaska. That blend of industry and legislative focus through the Alliance is truly valuable.

Oklahoma State Senator Mary Boren: This conference has helped me better understand where science and technology are leading us, what the market is demanding, and how that information can help us make better policy decisions and design more effective incentives.

Colorado State Representative Leslie Smith: I’ve been here for two days now, and I’ve learned so much. I’ve had great conversations with different people about their work and about how we might produce hydrogen here in Colorado.

Iowa State Senator Annettee Sweeney: It’s been a really helpful opportunity to connect directly with others at the conference. Having those one-on-one conversations — getting contact information, being able to follow up later — that’s one of the best parts of these events.

Alaska State Representative Ky Holland: I see gatherings like this as laying the foundation for creating significant opportunity — not just for Alaskans, but for our country as a whole. I appreciate the work being done here and what it could mean for our future.

Iowa State Senator Annettee Sweeney: What makes USHA unique is that it brings together legislators, industry, and experts in the same room. You can do Zoom meetings, sure, but when you’re here in person, you get the real thing — real conversations, real collaboration.

Carolina Ahlstrand, Business Development Director, Hycamite: It’s partnership. It’s alliance. It’s collaboration.

Colorado State Representative Alex Valdez: It’s been such a pleasure to have everyone here in Denver. It’s inspiring to see so many people who truly care about working together — across sectors and across the aisle. It’s a bipartisan group, which is always refreshing.

No matter your level of experience with this technology — whether you’re just getting started or already leading in the field — this is the right place to learn, connect, and grow. I can’t say enough good things about it, and I’ll definitely be here next time.
