MANN + HUMMEL Highlights

USHA: Executive Director Roxana Bekemohammadi visits MANN+HUMMEL Facility in Portage, Michigan

MANN + HUMMEL Highlights

Good morning. I am here today in Cazo, Michigan with one of our member organizations, Mann and Hummel. We'll be discussing everything related to hydrogen, and if you don't know us already at the US Hydrogen Alliance, we are an advocacy group for all things hydrogen. So, we'll show you a few snippets today about Mann and Hummel's commitment to fuel cell technology.

Thank you so much for being with us. Thank you for welcoming me into your home. I have the CEO and president of Original Equipment from Mann+Hummel, and I just want to hand it over to them to actually introduce their company and what they're working on.

Thank you. I appreciate the opportunity for you to join us today and talk to our team about the importance of hydrogen as a potential propulsion system, especially in our space, the mobility space. Mann+Hummel, we are a filtration company. We've existed for more than 80 years. We're in more than 100 locations and about 22,000 employees developing solutions. Our vision is leadership in filtration. Our mission is the separation of the useful from the harmful, and Mr. Spate, our head of OE, can tell you a little bit more about the products we're bringing into this space to make a difference.

Well, we see also our purpose to make the world a little bit cleaner, and that fits so nicely together with our vision, leadership in filtration. Then, so you come naturally to hydrogen drivetrains. We are well established in the automotive business. We have been there over 80 years. So, it's quite, I would say, close that you also think about what you can do on those products. We are in contact with all of the manufacturers. We have a big innovation pipeline for hydrogen projects, and we can bring in our core competence, which is filtration, in these new technologies.

And how long have you been in the hydrogen industry? Well, we have been supplying in mass production already a couple of years. But what we see is that every OEM at the moment is working on this technology, and even I call it always as a bridge technology, hydrogen ICE, which will be launched within the next year. So, we are in contact with all of them. We have mass production products, and we have great expectations.

Well, thank you so much for your time. I really appreciate it. Any last words? Again, just our appreciation for the opportunity to collaborate and to try to find ways to bring this market and the relevance of this opportunity to a cleaner world.

Well, thank you for your great work, and thank you for being a member of the USHA. Thank you.
