The Dutch government has allocated nearly €250 million to seven hydrogen projects with a total capacity of 101MW, following a highly competitive bidding process. Notably, nearly all this capacity is contributed by two major projects: RWE's 50MW Eemshydrogen facility in Eemshaven and VoltH2's 50MW plant in Delfzijl. These projects are part of the Netherlands' ambitious strategy to bolster its position in the hydrogen industry, aiming to support applications from transport to chemical production. Other smaller projects also received funding, demonstrating the country's broad commitment to integrating green hydrogen into its energy system. This initiative aligns with wider European efforts to transition to renewable energy sources and reduce carbon emissions across industrial sectors.
