As of last month, 61 countries have outlined national hydrogen strategies, revealing a diverse array of production pathways. The analysis, based on CGEP's National Hydrogen Strategies and Roadmap Tracker, highlights that while most countries focus on renewable sources like wind and solar, others are exploring a range of methods including nuclear, by-product, and low-carbon hydrogen. This global approach reflects varying geographical and economic conditions and underscores the shift towards renewable hydrogen, which is expected to represent two-thirds of the hydrogen production capacity by 2030.
