CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co has successfully completed a full-load trial run of the world's first hydrogen-powered urban train in China, reaching speeds of 160 km/h (99.4 mph) on its test line. This test confirmed the train's efficient performance, consuming just 5 kWh per kilometer and boasting a range of over 1,000 km (621.4 miles). The train, comprising four cars, utilizes a hydrogen fuel cell system and a hybrid power supply, integrating multiple energy storage units and a proprietary hydrogen-electric hybrid energy management system.
